Ukrainian wheat prices remain under pressure from weak export demand, falling global markets and rising logistics costs. December futures declined during the week by 3% to $247/t for Chicago SRW, 3.8% to $262.8/t for Kansas HRW, 1.9% to $255.8/t for Minneapolis HRS and 1% to €243.25/t on Euronext.
Ukraine exported 348,000 tonnes of wheat in the first 12 days of October 2026, compared with 877,000 tonnes a year earlier. Season-to-date exports reached 3.12 million tonnes, versus 5.61 million tonnes previously. Russian seaport shipments totalled only 436,000 tonnes in the first 10 days of October, down 5.3 times year on year.
Border congestion has pushed Ukrainian railcar turnaround times to 30–45 days, weighing on delivered values. Feed wheat is indicated at UAH 5,000–5,500/t EXW and food wheat at UAH 6,000–6,500/t. Danube export prices stand at $170–177/t for food wheat and $150–155/t for feed wheat, while Constanta demand is $250–260/t, mainly supplied by barge.
Turkey’s proposed Black Sea shipping corridors remain uncertain after Russia rejected the initiative.
