Ukrainian grain and oilseed procurement prices were largely stable at the beginning of September, although sunflower seed and soybean markets recorded mixed movements across delivery bases, according to GrainTrade.
Average purchase prices on September 1 were UAH 7,500/t for Grade 2 wheat, UAH 8,150/t for corn, UAH 6,433/t for barley, UAH 19,329/t for sunflower seed, UAH 17,800/t for soybeans and UAH 23,000/t for rapeseed. Regional and delivery-basis differentials remained significant. Corn was quoted at UAH 8,200/t FCA, up UAH 437, while Grade 3 and Grade 4 wheat FCA prices fell by UAH 325 and UAH 319, respectively. Sunflower seed at processors declined UAH 1,383 to UAH 22,767/t, while soybean processor prices decreased UAH 833 to UAH 18,167/t.
The data provide an indication of Ukraine’s inland and processing demand ahead of the autumn export season. Export-linked quotations included corn at $197/t DAF, Grade 3 wheat at $155/t CPT terminal and rapeseed at up to $575/t CIF. Chicago wheat, corn and soybeans declined, while Euronext wheat, corn and rapeseed futures rose.
