Ukraine exported 1.125 million tonnes of agricultural products in October 2026, around 50% of the volume expected for the period, according to Agricultural Policy Minister Taras Vysotsky. Grain exports totalled 670,000 tonnes, representing 60% of the monthly total. Oilseed shipments reached 184,000 tonnes, while sunflower oil exports amounted to 138,000 tonnes and meal exports to 132,000 tonnes.
The ministry said Ukraine’s transport infrastructure is operating at capacity, limiting the possibility of a significant near-term increase in exports. The constraints are preventing producers from fully commercialising recently harvested grain and oilseed crops and are affecting all major agricultural export segments.
For physical traders, the data points to continued restrictions on the availability and movement of Ukrainian-origin cargoes into international markets, including via Black Sea and Danube-linked routes. The ministry is prioritising higher-value products, particularly sunflower oil and meal, to maximise foreign-exchange earnings within available logistics capacity. It reported no shortage of food products on Ukraine’s domestic market.
