Rapeseed prices in Europe remain under pressure from improving Canadian harvest progress, increased Canadian and Australian supplies, and renewed Ukrainian availability. November canola futures in Winnipeg traded at CAD 812/t, down 2% month-on-month, while dry and warm weather expected over the following 7–10 days could support completion of the harvest. By October 5, harvesting had reached 72% in Saskatchewan and 56% in Alberta; Manitoba was at 86% on October 14.
EU rapeseed imports fell 14% year-on-year in the first three months of the 2026/27 season to 871,500 tonnes. Ukrainian supplies dropped from 600,000 tonnes to 336,000 tonnes, mainly because of shipping problems from Black Sea ports. Australia increased shipments by 35% to 185,100 tonnes, while Canadian deliveries reached 121,700 tonnes, compared with almost zero a year earlier.
Ukrainian export bids declined by $10–15/t during the week to $475–500/t delivered to Danube ports, reflecting higher freight costs. Offers remained $500–520/t at western border terminals, while Constanta delivery was quoted at $575–580/t. Increased competing supply may weigh further on Ukrainian purchase prices.
